Our mission

Today, we aim to continue developing a place for students at FGCU to become actively involved in the finance community.

Our History

STOC was founded in 2022 to get more students involved in the world of finance. In 2024, STOC built a community for finance majors at FGCU and students wanting to learn more about starting a career in finance.

We Host a Variety of Events

Attend our events to learn from Finance experts and Students both complex and fundamental Financial Topics

Workshops

Participate in workshops to establish skills which will allow you to more responsibly manage personal wealth and optimize savings

Networking

Build relationships with peers, professors, and industry experts at panelist and guest speaker events.

Learn from educated peers the lessons and skill required to become a more successful student within the Finance Curriculm

Volunteer

Tutoring

Volunteer alongside fellow club members for a host of different volunteering organizations who aim to enhance the enhance the well-being of south Florida

Through the knowledge I have gained from my courses at FGCU, my internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and my position at the Regional Economic Research Institute, I have built a strong foundation of technical and interpersonal skills that I will apply to my role as Treasurer of the STOC club. I am committed to fulfilling my responsibilities by maintaining accurate financial records, securing funding, allocating resources effectively, and providing leadership that supports our members and promotes financial literacy.
